Ninja of the Month 2026
Kula Karate Ninja of the Month is a showcase of the talented young people in our community. The power and spirit of our youth is limitless, and Kula thinks it's important to let other young athletes know what their peers are doing in the fitness community.
Congratulations to the following Kula Karate Ninjas of the Month!
February Ninja of the Month

Claire Harmon is Kula Karate's February Ninja of the Month! Claire is a soon-to-be Orange Belt participating in the Mathews Elementary Karate class. Claire was nominated by her coaches for her outstanding focus, exemplary behavior, and exceptional skill. She is a gentle and caring friend, who always leads her class by example.
What Claire values most about Kula Karate is it teaches her ways to be strong. Her favorite part of Kula Karate is excercising and learning different moves, alongside her friends, that make her feel strong and help her protect herself and others. She's so dedicated that she has even recited the Do Jo Hun at the dinner table!
Claire is also enrolled in Tennis at Mathews Elementary, and spends most of her time working on making art and craft hobbies. She loves making all sorts of things and inventions - she is usually rigging something together with cardboard, scotch tape, markers and random objects like takeout chopsticks. She also likes making & writing short books about different subjects she loves — especially cats. Her favorite part of school is learning new things.
Claire would like to be an artist or make things when she grows up. Congratulations Claire for being Kula Karate's Ninja of the Month!
January Ninja of the Month

Elijah McAndrew is Kula Karate's January Ninja of the Month! Elijah is an orange belt participating in the Doss Elementary Karate club. Elijah was nominated by his coaches for his consistent growth and dedication as well as the leadership skills he has been developing as a higher ranking student in his class.
Elijah says, "Since I started doing Kula Karate, I've felt more self-confidence." and his favorite part of class is mediatation and learning punching techniques. In school, Elijah loves recess and Science class. He also participates in NWAYBA/WAYA basketball, River City Rangers soccer, Math Pentathlon, Math Olympiad, Dual Language Initiative (Mandarin), UIL Spelling, and the Gifted and Talented program.
When he grows up, Elijah wants to be a basketball player or an engineer. Way to go Elijah for being Kula's January Ninja of the Month!
